Quite a few people find their way to this web site because their name is Casey. Sometimes it's their first name, other times their last. To all of you I would like to extend a warm welcome, and an invitation to leave a note here in the casey.com guestbook by adding a comment to this posting. Please include your name and location, so that all can see where our collected Caseys are coming from.
NOTE: Unfortunately I get an overwhelming amount of comment spam, and as a result all comments are held for approval until I can separate and approve the genuine from the unwanted. As a result, your comment won't appear immediately, but will take days or weeks before I get around to reviewing it. But don't let that discourage you, it's great fun to hear from all of you Caseys out there.

This is a cool site! I was just having fun with the internet and I typed in the address not knowing it was a real web site. Well I love to play the drums, collect model cars, play basketball, baseball, and soccer, but academics is first in my life. Making all A's, winning the spelling bee, winning the reader's digest word challenge, and getting a 1030 on my s.a.t. are some of the highlights of my 7th grade year. Well that's all I've got to say. THIS SITE ROCKS!!!!

I'll drop in from time to time to see how the research is going. Thanks for all the good work!

GGrandfather was James Casey, Burlington, NC. He married Ellen Manly. He was born near Clonmel, Co. Tipperary in 1831, and she was born near Crossmolina, Co. Mayo in 1839. They had 12 children, 8 of whom lived to be adults. Most of the family moved to VA in later years. Most of them worked for the RR.

My fifth great grandparents were ???? Riffe and Elizabeth Casey. They were from Greenbriar Co. KY in the mid 1700's. This has not been proven as yet, but seems to be correct according to
"Casey County KY 1806-1977" compiled and edited by Gladys Cotham Thomas.
